Canadiens Drive for 25
The message is simple: Montreal has improved in key areas from last year where they finished first in the Eastern Conference. Carey Price is rested, and in shape. Ryder is no longer a liability in their own zone. They have added speed and skill in Tanguay and Lang over those they replace. They have added toughness in Laraque. The Kostitsyn brothers have added playoff experience and are both poised for a breakout year. Should almost anyone go down to injury or Hamilton, the Habs have several NHL-ready players they can call up. More importantly, that also means that the Habs can use some of those talented players as bait at the trade deadline to either plug a hole or improve the team if required at that time. TSN has finally gotten around to Canada's best chance to bring back the cup to its native land as their team by team preview has now reached Montreal.
