Canadiens call up Sergei Kostitsyn from the Hamilton Bulldogs
Sergei Kostitsyn gets a golden chance to change the team’s the fans and perhaps his own perception of him with a call up to rejoin the big team.
With extended injuries to Scott Gomez (lower body) and the departure of Guillaume Latendresse (Benoit Pouliot nursing a hand injury) the younger Kostitsyn, who while not necessarily dominating as one would hope in the AHL, gets the call to perhaps reunite with his recently resurgent brother Andrei.
SK74, in 16 games with the Hamilton Bulldog did manage to climb his way to second place in the standings by recording 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists) between threats of leaving the team twice and demands of being traded.
One would think it’s put up or shush up time for the young pucker.
