Habs  Press release just in:

MONTREAL (October 1st, 2008) – The Montreal Canadiens announced tonight that forwards Ben Maxwell, Gregory Stewart and Matt D’Agostini have been assigned to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.

The three players will report to the Bulldogs’ training camp Thursday in St-John’s, Newfoundland.

29 players are still at training camp, including three goaltenders, 11 defencemen and 15 forwards. The group includes defenceman Mathieu Carle, out with an injury.

The team travels tonight to the Mont Tremblant area with two open-public practices scheduled at the St-Jovite arena on October 2-3.

The Canadiens will play their final preseason game at the Bell Centre on October 4th against the Minnesota Wild.

On a personal note, I'm glad the Habs are keeping Max-Pac until the very end of camp. He earned it.
