Habs press release on Ryan White to Hamilton

Even though neither he nor Tom Pyatt were dressed for yesterday’s centennial game against the Boston Bruins, and although Sergei Kostitsyn was not practicing this morning at the Brossard training facility, the Canadiens announced this morning that Ryan White has been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

The younger Kostitsyn’s injury must not be as bad as it appeared in last night’s replays as he went down awkwardly with a Bruin player landing on his knee/ankle to literally add insult to injury.

Both White and Pyatt were called up from Hamilton in early November, but it appears the Canadiens are going to keep Pyatt around for a few more games, while White will surely help out his AHL team in a second game of a back to back against the Toronto Marlies.

Speaking of the Bulldogs, Hamilton recorded their third shutout in a row with a 3-0 win over the Toronto Marlies in front of 6,092 fans at Copps Coliseum. The Bulldogs’ shutout streak reached 198 minutes and 51 seconds, while Cedrick Desjardins’ shutout streak reached 158 minutes and 51 seconds. Both are new franchise records for the hockey club.

Read on for the official Habs press release.
