Written by Nick Murdocco. Posted in Blogs - Nick Murdocco

While it doesn't look like Sergei Kostitsyn will be in the line-up, Montrealers will still be able to get a closer look at the "Habs in Training" as the Hamilton Bulldogs will play at the Bell Centre this November.

Among others, PK Subban, Tom Pyatt, Ben Maxwell and Yannick Webber were seen here during the 2009 training camp, and this will be a great opportunity to see them and many other up and comers excell in AHL game action as the Buldogs will face the Binghamton Senators in a regualr season game.

Please read on for the official press release.

MONTREAL (September 30, 2009) – The Montreal Canadiens’ AHL affiliate Hamilton Bulldogs will play host to the Binghamton Senators at the Bell Centre for the third time in team history on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. This event is a presentation of Gillett Entertainment Group.

The Hamilton Bulldogs’ roster will feature some of the Canadiens’ top-rated prospects just a few strides away from the NHL. The Bulldogs returned from a Scotland tour where they captured the first ever Gardiner Cup allowing a single goal in three contests. During the four-team round-robin tournament held in Edinburg, head coach Guy Boucher’s team twice defeated the Toronto Marlies (1-0 and 3-1) and shutout the Belfast Giants (7-0).

Several young Canadiens prospects contributed to the Bulldogs’ success last season, including forwards Ben Maxwell, David Desharnais and Max Pacioretty, defenseman Yannick Weber, as well as goaltender Cédrick Desjardins.

The Bulldogs’ first game at the Bell Centre was held on March 18, 2007, against the Syracuse Crunch, weeks before the first Calder Cup championship in franchise history. The Canadiens’ current roster features four Bulldogs from the 2006-07 championship team: goaltender Carey Price, defenseman Ryan O’Byrne, as well as forwards Maxim Lapierre and Andrei Kostitsyn.

On November 30, 2008, the Bulldogs played host to the Binghamton Senators in front of more than 14,000 fans at the Bell Centre.
