Nov 20 ANTHONY CALVILLO NAMED CFL MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER, Scott Flory wins Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman

Montreal, Nov. 20, 2008 –

The Canadian Football League announced today that quarterback

Anthony Calvillo was named the CFL Most Outstanding Player and Scott Flory was named the CFL Most Outstanding Lineman.

The 2003 CFL Most Outstanding Player and 2002 and 2004 East Division Most Outstanding

Player, Calvillo wins the award for a second time. He was among the best pivots in the CFL again

this year, completing 472 of his 682 passes for 5,633 yards and 43 touchdowns against just 13

interceptions in 17 games. The 472 completions and the 43 touchdown passes are Alouettes’

team records.

Scott Flory

The 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008 East Division Most Outstanding Lineman, Flory has long been

the leader of Montreal’s offensive line. Flory is already a six-time CFL All-Star (2002, 2003, 2005,

2006, 2007 and 2008) and has been named an East Division All-Star seven times, in 2002, 2003,

2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The Alouettes’ offensive line had its best season since the

team re-joined the CFL in 1996, allowing just 22 sacks and helping set a franchise record with

610 points scored.
