Alouettes Sign DeAudra' Cobb and Kitwana Jones
The Montreal Alouettes continued activity with roster moves as they added Former Ti-Cat running back DeAudra' Cobb and former Roughrider defensive end Kitwana Jones to the team.
Cobb became expendable when the Als and Avon Cobourne parted ways and saw Cobourne sign in Hamilton. Jones, after six seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders including the last two that saw them fall to the Als in consecutive Grey Cup games, must have gone the “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em “ route.

Montreal, Mar. 18, 2011 - The Montreal Alouettes' vice president and general manager, Jim Popp, is pleased to announce that the team has signed import running back DeAudra' Cobb and import defensive end Kitwana Jones.
Cobb (5'10'', 196 lbs.) , played 35 games over two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, recording 2,390 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns and 876 yards and five touchdowns on 98 catches. In 2010, he finished tied for second in the CFL for 8 rushing touchdowns, tied for fourth with 10 combined touchdowns and fourth with 1,507 yards from scrimmage and 1,173 rushing yards. The former Michigan State Spartan was drafted in the sixth round by the Atlanta Falcons in 2005, where he played three games at return specialist. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2006. He is 29.
Jones (6'0'', 240 lbs.) , joins the Alouettes after six seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, winning the 2007 Grey Cup and playing in two consecutive championship games against Montreal in 2009 and 2010. He played 99 career games, including 22 starts, alternating at defensive end and linebacker while excelling on special teams, recording 114 defensive tackles, 99 special teams tackles, 22 sacks, 7 tackles for a loss and 6 fumbles recoveries, returning three for touchdowns. He also played with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2009. He is 29.
