Alouettes Name Their 2009 Most Outstanding Players
Just prior to their final regular season game in Toronto this Saturday, the Montreal Alouettes have named their Most Outstanding Players for the 2009 season.
For anyone following the team this season, it should come as no surprise that QB Anthony Calvillo earned top honours as THE most outstanding this season. Calvillo is either leading or a close second in all CFL categories attributed to quarterbacks this season. One would think that only the Alouette’s performance in the post season remains to be completed before determining if Calvillo gets the MVP nod as well.
The other usual suspects are Ben Cahoon (Canadian Player), Scott Flory (Offensive Lineman), Anwar Stewart (Defensive Lineman), Larry Taylor (Special Teams Player) and rookie, Jerald Brown.
Read on for the bios.

He was named the CFL's Defensive Player of the Week for Week 4.
Jerald Brown
Most Outstanding Rookie
The AFL's top defensive player in 2006, Brown won a starters' job in his first year following an outstanding training camp. He is currently fourth in the CFL with four interceptions, which he has returned for a total of 109 yards. He is second on the Alouettes for most tackles for losses, tackles and knockdowns.
