The Montreal Alouettes have announced their final cuts for the upcoming 2008 CFL season. Montreal finished the pre-season without a win in 2 games, tying Toronto and losing to Winnipeg. Montreal will play Hamilton on Thursday to open the regular season. Hamilton had a strong pre-season, as they beat both Winnipeg and Toronto. The good news for Montreal is that the Tigercats went undefeated in the pre-season last year as well, but then went 3-15 when it counted. Montreal will be looking to get back over .500 this season after going 8-10 last year. 2007 marked the first time since the Alouettes returned to Montreal (by way of Baltimore) in the 90's that they had a sub .500 season.
