After 1-0 Loss in Moncton, Montreal Juniors Head home With .500 Record

The Montreal Juniors, after a rather busy road trip, now head home where they will regroup and prepare for a 4 game home-stand starting this Friday against the Huskies.
Although they went 1-3 during their stint on the road, losing to Rimouski, St John and Moncton, they managed a win against Halifax and also as important, managed to maintain an overall record of .500 tallying 6 wins and 6 losses to date.
Regarding the recent game in Moncton last night, it is to note that the Juniors held their own against this Wildcat team who extended its record to 8-0.
Montreal gave up the lone goal while shorthanded at the 5:22 mark of the first period when Ted Stephens potted his 6th of the year with assists going to Daniel Pettersson and Matthew Bissonnette. Although the Juniors were unable to produce a goal during their 6 chances on the power-play, a part of their game that obviously needs attention, they did proceed to methodically out-shoot the Wildcats 34-29 to end the game.
In perhaps a surprise move by coach Pascal Vincent, it was not number one goaltender Jake Allen that faced the unbeaten Wildcats, but rather, walk-on acquisition Jean-Francois Bérubé who was between the pipes and he did all he could to keep his team into the game, earning the game's first star.
Hope to see you all at the Verdun Auditorium this Friday night as the 6-6-0 Juniors will attempt to add to the wins column when they meet the 5-4-2 Huskies.
