Juniors Fall in 3-2 Shootout Loss to Cataractes

Written by Nick Murdocco. Posted in Blogs - Nick Murdocco

The Montreal Juniors’ 4 game winning streak has come to an end, but they did manage a point as they came from behind but came up short in the shootout against the Shawinigan Cataractes Friday night.

There has been some criticism about the Juniors’ inability to play a full 60 minutes, either having to play catch-up hockey, or unnecessarily squandering the lead. This was not the case on this night as the Juniors managed 30 shots on goal and despite the fact that go-to guys Louis Leblanc and Victor Hertzberg are presently in an 8 and 5 game goal scoring slump respectively.

The good news is that the Juniors are relatively healthy with only Louis-Marc Aubry yet to return to the line-up and the Lewiston MAINEiacs and Quebec Remparts next on the agenda. The juniors are 3-0 Vs both teams.

Please read the official Juniors game recap.
