Patrick Roy’s team did not forget the 5-2 beating they took at the hands of these same Juniors, especially since the coach had his team practice for an unprecedented 3 hours the very next day. They handed the Juniors the same final score, but this time, they were the victors.

It was a close game at the end of the first, but the Remparts pulled away with two goals in the second period.  Juniors forward Pier-Antoine Dion scored the two Juniors goals.  Kelsey Tessier, Samuel Groulx, David Gilbert, Maxime Gravel, and Dmitri Kugryshev scored the five Rempart goals.

Montreal’s Jake Allen had to be pulled after he allowed 3 goals on 7 shots and J-F Bérubé came in for the rest of the game.

The bigger story in this one was the fact that in the third period alone, a grand total of 10 minor and 12 major penalties for fighting as well as a couple of game misconducts were handed out as the game got “just” a little out of hand.

Below are the official press releases for all 3 games.
