2010 NFL Preview - NFC NORTH and NFC EAST

National Football League

The Franchise, hosted by Gary Whittaker and Nick Murdocco, has team up with Mr. Football, Moe Khan, of the TEAM 990, to preview the NFL 2010-2011 season. Nick Murdocco is on vacation this weekend, so we brought in Mitch Mayberger of Fight House Management to help us break down the NFC North and NFC East. Mitch Gallo of the TEAM 990 was also on hand for the NFC North preview.

Preview of NFC North - Starts off with a heated debate on where Brett Favre ranks on the all-time QB list. Eventually, order is restored and

  • we look at the major points in the race for first between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers
  • If the Chicago Bears can surprise by contending or 1st or a wild card this season
  • And how many games the Detroit Lions will win this season

Preview of NFC East -

  • Many think that the Dallas Cowboys will not only win the East, but make it to the Superbowl...Moe Khan will tell you why that may not happen
  • Can McNabb bring the Redskins back to respectability?
  • Can Kolb and Vick fill the void left by Donavan McNabb?
  • Just how tough is Eli Manning? ...apparently not as tough as Gary Whittaker things he is

The Franchise And Five Hole For Food

Newsflash

It takes a good reason for Gary Whittaker from The Franchise to be active, and there is no better reason than helping others. We were approached by Kyle Roussel while attending our first Habs Tweet Up (organised by @All_Habs), who spoke to us about this great concept called Five Hold For Food, which will hold a charity hockey game in Ile Perrot, Quebec. This will be part of a series of hockey games done across Canada which will help feed our nation's hungry. As I had talked about on Saturday's show, I was one of those kids who needed the services of groups like NDG Food Depot, so I immediately decided to jump on board and both participate and donate whatever non-perishable items I can get my hands on.

One does not need to play in the game in order to come by and donate food, or take part in some of the festivities and fun. In fact, the person who simply donates the most food will win a hockey stick which was autographed by the Montreal Canadiens! But if you can play, it will just be a fun game of regular street hockey in a local rink in Ile Perrot. Anyone can join, any age, and since I will be there, any shape and size.

For more information about Five Hole for Food, please visit their website.

To confirm your participate in the hockey game (and we need more players!!!), please contact Kyle Roussel. To read more about Kyle Roussel and his articles, check out his blog

Here is Nick Murdocco and Gary Whittaker talking more about Five Hole For Food on today's show.
