MONTREAL IMPACT WILL FACE AC MILAN ON JUNE 2 AT OLYMPIC STADIUM

After the recent cancellation of the game that was to be held between Manchester United and Chelsea allstars and former Impact players,  Montreal soccer fans now have something to get excited about.

For the first time in its history, the Montreal Impact will face one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, AC Milan, Wednesday, June 2, at 8 pm, during an international friendly match that will be presented at Olympic Stadium. The Impact will also play against Serie A (first division) Italian club Fiorentina, Sunday, May 23 at 2 pm, at Saputo Stadium.

 

Montreal Impact Surprised by Austin Aztex in Season Opener

The defending champion Montreal Impact kicked off their 2010 campaign in Austin Texas where they were blanked by the Aztex in their sophomore season by a score of 2-0. 

This is not foreign territory for the Impact or their fans, however a game does not a season make.

   

Montreal Canadiens Round 1 Playoff Schedule Released

The NHL has released the schedule for Round 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. The 8th seeded Montreal Canadiens are scheduled to take on Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, who are the NHL's point leaders and most high scoring team.         NEW YORK (April 11, 2010) -- Vancouver Canucks center Henrik Sedin captured his first career Art Ross Trophy as National Hockey League scoring champion, Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby and Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos respectively each won his first Maurice Richard Trophy as the NHL goal-scoring leader, while New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur collected his fifth career William Jennings Trophy as the goaltender for the club finishing the season having surrendered the fewest goals.

   

Nash Signs 2 Year Deal with Habs

Brendon Nash, that is.

The Montreal Canadiens announced today that the 6’ 3’’, 206 lbs defenseman and native of Kamloops, BC has agreed to terms for a two year stint with the Canadiens organization. Nash hhad recently ended his stay and play at Cornell University where his last season with the team had him leading all defensemen in scoring.

Nash's scoring touch as a defenceman will surely fill the void that will be left when PK Subban eventually makes his way to to Montreal.
