(For immediate release) May 22nd, 2010 – Montreal - Ringside MMA is announcing 2 changes to our 7^th card, “No Escape”, which is scheduled for June 18^th, 2010 at 7:00pm. Jason Mackay has been injured, and will therefore no longer be able to face his opponent, Derek Gauthier. Also, Pierre-Etienne Marcoux from Drummondville has pulled out of his match against Dimitri Waardenburg of Granby, citing personal reasons.

(For Immediate Release) May 15, 2010 Montreal – Ringside MMA is proud to announce that their 7th event will be held on June 18, 2010 at 7pm.  The MMA event will be held at the Pierre-Charbonneau Center, located on 3000 Rue Viau in Montreal, under the title, “No Escape”.  Guillaume “Il Toro” de Lorenzi will be making his first title defence of his lightweight belt against UFC veteran Dale Hartt. There will be no less than 12 electrifying fights for this event. Tickets are already on sale via the Ovation website . This event will also be streamed live via the Internet from the official Ringside MMA website at http://www.ringsidemma.tv for a low fee.

As Mauricio Rua is celebrating his newly crowned world championship, the curse of the 205-pound belt is what “Shogun” may have inherited along with it. The title Shogun now carries has been sinking through the grasp of each fighter it possesses and has been tossed back-and-fourth like a game of hot potato.

In three-years, six different fighters have worn the UFC's light-heavyweight belt around their waist. In between the Chuck Liddell era and now Shogun era, only two of them have successfully defended the title and both only did it once.
