The Weigh-ins were held at the Graffitis restaurant in the Quality Hotel Montreal East, and started relatively promptly at 3:05pm this afternoon. The weigh-ins were of great interest to fight fans, as such notables as UFC veteran Tim Credeur was in attendance, as well as UFC veteran Sean Salmon, who was not. Unfortunately for Ringside, it was Sean Salmon who was supposed to be on the fight card. The was apparently a miscommunication between the organization and Sean Salmon's camp, one which led to Ringside MMA paying for 2 unused plane tickets to bring Salmon to Montreal. We feel bad for Tom Murphy, who now sees his fight scrapped due to Salmon's failure to show up. Bellator's Will "Leon" Romero was there in support of his teammate, and perhaps there could be an opportunity for fight fans to see Romero back at Ringside in the near future.

Ringside MMA would like to inform you of a recent change to its fight card for Ringside 7 – No Escape. We would also like to take this opportunity remind you that the weigh-ins for this event will take place at the warm and inviting Graffitis Restaurant, which is located within the Quality Hotel Montreal East, situated at 8100 Neuville Avenue, in Anjou (Montreal East End) on Thursday, June 16^th at 3pm. In addition, the weigh-ins will be broadcast live and free of charge via the Internet, courtesy of GoFightLive, who will also rebroadcast Ringside MMA’s last gala, titled “Rage”. GoFightLive will be the official broadcaster for No Escape which will be available on PPV via the Internet for a very low fee.

I am going to lose weight. I am going to start working out or I am going to fall asleep trying...actually, I figured, "what better way to get motivated than to take advantage of my expanding list of friends who are involved with MMA!". Now, I had already started doing some amazing sessions with my friend Jeremy Rubin who conducts a great DABB workout program. However, as amazing as that program is, I couldn't punch anyone!

That is where Yanick Bergeron from Team Bergeron stepped in! I had last met him during Fight Quest 12, where I asked if I could go visit the much famed Team Bergeron gym and see how he produces some of the best strikers in the Province of Quebec. He was more than happy to accommodate, and after a couple of weeks battling "the lazies", I managed to get enough motivation to stretch into my pair of MMA shorts, lace up my still new boxing gloves and show Coach Bergeron what I was made of!
