Impact Score Late To Beat the Islanders 1-0

Montreal got an improved effort from the defensive side of the pitch, keeping the Islanders off the scoresheet, and got a goal from midfielder Joey Gjertsen at the 83rd minute to even up their record to 2-2. Now the Impact will travel to Minnesota to take on the the Thunder who will be playing their first home game of the season. The Thunder currently have a 1-1 record, but will be playing Rochester on Sunday.

THE IMPACT FACES THE ISLANDERS IN PUERTO RICO FRIDAY

The Montreal Impact (1-2-0) is playing its fourth game of the season,
Friday, against the Puerto Rico Islanders (1-2-0), at Juan Ramon Loubriel
Stadium, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico (8 pm, USLlive.com).

NOTES:
-Last year, the Impact was eliminated from the playoffs by the Islanders in
quarter-finals.
-The Impact will also try to bounce back from a 3-2 loss in its last game against
the Silverbacks in Atlanta.
-Veteran defender Nevio Pizzolitto will be out for 6 to 8 weeks due to torn
ligaments in the right shoulder.

Impact suffer 2nd defeat of the season

Montreal Impact lose 3 to 2 against the Atlanta Silverbacks. This is the first win of the season for Atlanta who were playing in their second match. In Montreal's first loss to Vacouver when they opened the season, they impact couldn't find the net losing 1 to 0. However, in Atlanta, it was poor defense in the 2nd half that allowed Atlanta to get the victory. We will now see if the Impact can bounce back against the Puerto Rico Islanders as they continue their road trip on May 2nd

ATLANTA - The Impact (1-1-0) is playing its third game of the season, Friday,
against the Atlanta Silverbacks (0-0-1), at RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium (8 pm,
Fox Sports World).

NOTES:
* This is also the third of six straight games on the road, before the Impact's home
opener at Saputo Stadium, Monday May 19.
* In its last game, the Impact came back from a 1-0 deficit, after 45 minutes, to
win 2-1 against Miami FC, last Saturday, in Florida.
* Midfielder Leonardo Di Lorenzo will play his 50th career game
