Arlovski hasn't competed in mixed martial arts since suffering a quick KO loss to heavy-handed Brett Rogers last June. Rumours say Arlovski will lock horns with another former champion under the Strikeforce banner. The only Elite XC heavyweight champ Antonio "Big Foot" Silva will likely get the call to face Andrei in May, which is he same card Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum are expected to headline.
Andrei adds to the list of recent big name multi-fight signee's like Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson with the promotion.

Montreal fight fans were treated to a great night of fights for MFL's 2nd MMA gala. MFL showed considerable growth both in the size of the crowd, and the quality of the production of the event since their first show several months ago. While there could have been some bad comments from the fans about the match making , some match ups were beyond the control of the matchmakers, as they had to deal with last minute injuries, as well as legal problems in getting a fighter across the border for the main event

We are waiting on word from the MFL for the official reason on why Isidro "Chilo" Gonzales was replaced in the main event by Chester Post. Rumors arethat Gonzales was unable to cross the border due to legal reasons. Chestor Post is a very experienced fighter who has 6 wins in 25 professional fights. We are also waiting on confirmation on which fighters did not officially make weight, as fighters can agree to a catch weight in the last 24 hours before their fight. The weigh ins took place at the Bistro Boulevard Lounge located at 10215 Boulevard St-Laurent, Montreal today at 2pm. The most heated exchange was between Marvin "Beastman" Eastman and Steve "The Boss" Bossé. The staredown was full of intensity, but no words were spoken, but neither was a hand extended in sportsmanship either.
