Louis Leblanc Under 3 Year Contract With Habs, Juniors an Option?

Montreal Sports - Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have announced they have come to a 3 year agreement with Louis Leblanc. The much touted, much hyped, much wanted native Quebecer is now officially opening himself up to all that comes with being property of the Habs organization. Welcome and good luck.

Let the discussions begin anew as to where he will, or should play out his pre NHL years. While Leblanc has made it clear that he was going to return to Harvard, where he was top scorer in his rookie season, Many feel he should get more games in via the QMJHL (Montreal Juniors, conveniently enough) so that he can start getting a feel for the lengthy schedule and duration of a typical AHL/NHL season.

Wreck MMA Video with Barone, Carle, Harrison and Morvan

Mixed Martial Arts - MMA

No, while not part of The Weigh In series of videos, we wanted to still bring you some interviews with some great fighters and great people who will be competing at the next WRECK MMA event on August 2nd. Now, technically, I don't actually know of Jeff Harrison is a great guy, but I have interviewed the others and I can vouch for their character.

Impact Lose at home to Whitecaps

Montreal Sports - Montreal Impact

The chase for 1st can now be put to bed, as the Montreal Impact lose at home yesterday, again, to the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Impact only have a few days to lick their wounds as they head down to Baltimore to face Crystal Palace. Tensions flared the last time these two teams met at Saputo Stadium, and the Impact will be looking to settle the score against this new USSF team. Read on for the press release on their 1-nil loss against Vancover.

Betting UFC on Versus 2

Mixed Martial Arts - MMA

While it has been almost a month since the last UFC event, it has been nice to have that little break over July. Hope you enjoyed it because the next few months will be jammed packed with UFC cards so it is time to make some cash. With the Verses card, there is some really good money to be made on this card. After going 7-4 the last time. Hopefully that trend will continue.

WRECK MMA: The Hammer vs. Showtime on August 20th

Mixed Martial Arts - MMA

Due to some unforseen circumstances, the main event for Friday August 20th's Wreck MMA: Bad Intentions has been changed. Wreck MMA and FitShop.ca are excited to announce that Markhaile 'Showtime' Wedderburn will be making his Wreck debut against the talented striker from Drummondville, Martin 'The Hammer' Grandmont.

Showtime is known as one of the most controversial welterweights in Canada, but his talent and willingness to face the country's best cannot to be forgotten. An excellent stand-up fighter who has shown flashes of brilliance on the ground, Showtime is coming back to Gatineau to entertain the fans. Grandmont is one of the best strikers in Canada and put those skills on display on many occasions throughout his MMA career. In his last trip to Gatineau, Grandmont KOed Ottawa's own and UFC veteran, Mark 'Boots' Holst in dramatic fashion. Holst moved past the loss and into the UFC but Grandmont believes he deserves an opportunity in the biggest show in the world and is coming back to the place of his biggest victory to prove it. These two fighters are known for their exciting fights and a war is promised on August 20th.
